Parallel implementation of multi-population differential evolution
A coarse-grained parallelization of an adaptive differential evolution algorithm is described. The parallelization is based on the multi-population model, a random connection topology being used. The results obtained by the implementation of the proposed algorithm on a PC cluster show not only a speedup in execution time, but also a higher probability of convergence.
